Dom weighs an estimated 5.25lbs and is 18 inches long.
5 weeks to go. 5 weeks, as in 35 days? You mean to tell me this little guy will be in our arms in just a few short weeks? Cue mini panic attack! (sounds of me breathing into a paper bag in the background...). So it occurred to me today that this 40 week process is almost over. We're 7/8 of the way finished and into the home stretch!
I've been so excited about the pending arrival of our little guy, but it never really sunk in that this whole pregnancy thing has to end. I've quite enjoyed being pregnant. I doesn't suck the way everyone said it would. Take that naysayers!
We're prepared for anything at this point... we've taken the classes, the nursery is finished, the hospital bag is packed, now all we need is our little bundle of joy. Okay Dom- that doesn't mean we want you to cut your baking time short. We still want you to cook for at least 2 more weeks and keep growing. Okay well don't grow too much-- you're running out of room and mommy isn't the biggest fan of you sucker punching/kicking her in the ribs anymore. In 2 weeks we'll be considered "full term" which means you can arrive any day without any anticipated complications! We're very much looking forward to meeting you!
In the meantime, I plan on enjoying these next few weeks by relaxing and getting a much needed pedicure--just like the cartoon below...
